Sam is a passionate and experienced coding instructor with 7+ years of teaching kids of all ages, both in-person and online. He's an expert in ScratchJr, Scratch, web development, Android app design, and 11 educational robotics platforms. Sam is passionate about helping kids become creators rather than consumers of technology. He believes that learning how to code is crucial in today's world; understanding the logic behind computers is essential in a world that is controlled by algorithms, even if kids choose not to pursue a career in IT. Sam is inspired by the creativity and imagination of kids. He loves seeing kids take on the skills he has taught them and working with them to make their ideas come to life. Before joining Coder Kids, Sam led a team of 15 programmers and teachers at Ideal Robotics, where they taught over 15,000 students in 40 schools in Nigeria. He was responsible for teaching coding classes and planning coding competitions between schools and children. Over his 5 years at Ideal Robotics, he also raised awareness and educated over 150 schools about the importance of coding and STEM education, with 60% incorporating it into their curriculum.
